Since iv left Orange and moved on to Virgin iv tried to connect my Virgin modem to the Orange/wanadoo livebox to have wireless again.
Like this:

iv connected the ethernet cable from my modem to the livebox (in the red ethernet port) but it does not work, the lights flicker rapidly which are '@' and the two arrows '>>' .
On the settings on the router i have put my Virgin username and pword where the Orange username and pword use to be to see if that helps.
This also may be a problems: the Virgin modem isnt connected to a phone line but a cable. I havent installed the ethernet driver wotnot to my pc due to the CD not working.
