hi all, i,ve had similer probs i,ve been getting around 500-700 download speeds, i,ve been told all the usual storys etc line tests, i even had an BT enginner out this moring courtesy of Orange to find my problem, low n behold there wasnt one, he said everything is fine, line confirms 7,6mb
what i did was, and yes i was as most of you would say nah it wouldnt work, but i moved my pc near my master socket plug it in, low n behold my speed jumps from 500-700 to a massive increase to 6000 odd, it may not work for all of you out there, but try it you may be surprised,
oh yes one more thing the BT engineer said that it was highly likely that its Orange servers thats been the prob for you out there still getting probs

That would suggest depending on your setup:
Livebox/modem/router on an extension socket - problem with the wiring.
or
Wireless connection to Livebox/modem/router at the master socket - bad wireless connection.
