I recieved my livebox just last week and I have set it up but its giving out a really poor signal so Ive decided to go out and buy a asdl modem router, but I have no idea which ones are compatible with Orange, if anyone could give me some advice on which one to get then I would be very grateful.
Before spending any money, have you tried changing the channel on the Livebox ?
When I first got mine, it took me a couple of attempts to find a channel which did not suffer from interferrence.
If after exhausting all the channels you still have a problem, it might be that your Livebox is faulty. In which case, get Orange to replace it at their cost not yours.
Yes, change channels if you've not done so already as that's a relatively quick way to fix wireless problems.
If you do want to use another router then really all you need is any standard ADSL router. Pretty much any good brand is fine, they're pretty much standard for connecting to ADSL.
Be aware that if (some on this forum would say "when") you encounter connection problems Orange support will blame it on the fact you are not using a Livebox and it may limit the help they can give you. On the plus side it means they can't make you do endless factory resets.
