Ok so I've been posting here since I was migrated to Orange's LLU network...now...wait for it...This week I've had problems with my phone line and BT have now fixed it but in the process managed to put me back on their ADSL Max network as the figures below will show, but how???
Despite the name you see I am an Orange customer and not complaining now.
And that's on a good day. Recently I've been getting less than 1meg speeds. I know that at the moment there are problems with the LLU attaches to the Liverpool POP, which is the area I live in (sort of), but I've had erratic service from Orange since last December. On the rare occasion when the service has been running properly I've had speeds of 5.5meg which is what I expected.
My experiences with Orange have been horrendous and the poor connection speed is the least of it.
Hi can anyone tell me if this is as poor as i think it is?. I keep telling Orange there is a problem with the speed, and my livebox, as i can only get on using the old speedtouch modem.

Checked how far i am from the exchange(Ashford kent). Im about 1.5 miles from the exchange max.
My line speed is so dire I can't get speedtest to load
Here is a thinkbroadband test I did yesterday, which is typical of my speeds
Date 03/08/07 15:26:16
Think Broadband Speed Test
Speed Down 79.38 Kbps ( 0.1 Mbps )
Speed Up 240.37 Kbps ( 0.2 Mbps )

Strange....unusually I had the similar problem last night. My connection and speeds have been good and very consistent for weeks then last night I had several disconnections and could not get Speedtest to complete a test. Also I had to re-boot my Belkin router several times to get re-connected. This morning I'm seeing slower download and even slower upload speeds.
But when you've been seeing a consistent 5600 - 5900 on a 6.5meg rated line as I have since April/May, I begin to think that Orange have started playing around at the local exchange again.
From November 2006 - April 2007 the service was abysmal but then I changed my settings and everything improved immediately and has been more or less consistently good since.
