I have just set up my livebox and it connects fine to my main computer through ethernet, but when I try and connect my laptop using wireless it only seems to connect when its close to the livebox, if I try and connect it downstairs or in a different room then it doesnt see the livebox so I cant connect to it at all, Im also having problems connecting my 2nd PC to the livebox, Im using a wireless USB network adaptor and it seems to connect to the livebox but won't connect to the internet.
Sounds like a poor signal or interference. You can change the chanel the livebox uses to see if that helps with the first wireless system. Remember the position and what's between the adapter and livebox can influence how well or if it can connect.
For the 2nd PC if you go into the status for the connection does it show connected and what is the address type and IP address on the support tab of the status.
I think I'm having a similar problem, but the problem maybe clearer. I have 2 computers, 1 MAC and 1 pc both with wireless. The pc kept on giving endless errors with the wireless connection, but the MAC is 100% good connection.. until that is, i connected the pc via the ethernet port. Now the signal for the MAC, previously 100% is now variable and tends to diconnect every 15 mins or so. If i pull the ethernet connection for the pc out, i get 100% reliable connection for the MAC.
The pc works a lot better with the ethernet connection, but i'm tempted to go back to wireless and try and troubleshoot the errors now!
