I am using a wired connection to the live box and I have recently upgraded from windows XP, where I had no real issues.
Running on Vista the connection will often drop out and state "limited connectivity" or it will state there is no network connections etc. There is sometimes no evidence of the livebox existing.
The live box displays solid @, phone and ((i)) lights when it does this.
This happens randomly and usually resolves itself, sometimes with me unplugging it for 10 secs.
Im running on firefox if that makes a difference.
Ill check the cable, Im not sure if I have drivers, I never used the installation CD when I received it due to it being dud. I connected with the 192.168.1.1 thing.
If maybe worth getting hold of an Orange Installtion CD, as i doubt Orange give you any support if the CD was not used to do the installation.
Try this. This guide is for XP and I assume Vista will be the same. I HAVE NOT USED VISTA.
1. Unplug the ethernet cable from the PC
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Properties"
4. Select "Hardware" then "Device Manager"
5. Click the "+" next to "Network Adapters"
6. One at a time, right click every item you see under "Network Adapters" and select "Uninstall"
7. When done restart the PC.
8. The PC should find new devices and install the appropriate drivers.

Most don't care one way or another if the CD's used or not. Usually if it's not been setup it'll be done manually as it's quicker than the CD anyway.

This may or may not work, but worth a try
That "should" work exactly how you intend. Only minor difference is on Vista you right click "Computer" on the Start menu instead of on the desktop.
Thanks Elhana for clearing that up. Ive never used Vista so i was a little unsure.
Just joined, having similar problem. Only installed wireless about two weeks ago. We have 2 dell laptops, one XP one Vista.
Came home last night after weekend away, first [3 day] inactivity since installation. Turned on main PC and laptops. Vista laptop showing no connectivity, XP one is fine. Message is that settings on laptop do not match Livebox settings. Will try again tonight with above suggetions - but obviously the problem appears to be Vista

That usually means the security settings have been changed on the livebox but there's an easy way to fix that.
Click start and type "network" select Network and Sharing Centre when it finds it,
Click Manage Wireless Networks of the tasks list on the left,
Find your livebox listing select it and remove it,
Go to start and then connect to,
Select your livebox and try and connect to it.
Just to be sure press 1 on the livebox before connecting, also you'll need to enter the WEP key again, I believe you can copy it from the properties of the old wireless listing before you remove it.
