I'm still under contract but I don't care anymore. Orange are not getting any more money out of us!
We have had problems with our connection since mid/late-may, when the connection died without warning. It took just under 2 weeks for them to "fix" the connection, to which they said this was because they were moving us to an LLU line.
After Three days with a working connection everything yet again goes kaputt! This was four of five days ago, and the whole thing is just completely winding me up.
My mum is actually the "account holder"and she today cancelled her DD with the bank, and called up BT to tell them our MAC code.
BT were extremely helpful and they are sending out the "home hub" (which i hope to god is better than the livebox!) next Monday.
We should be connected by Thursday!! Just got to sit tight and wait for the threatening letters to come from Orange now, as we had 6 months left on our contract... but im nearly free!!
since when was the livebox the same as the BT router?
The Livebox is a pile of junk........actually come to think of it its a bit like the so called "service" offered by Orange. Why stop at the livebox when they can offer a shocking service across the board !
go go Orange! your doing a sterling job of upsetting even more of your CUSTOMERS, ... the more customers you upset the less you will have, so presumably the less staff you will also require to pacify the customers you have left... perhaps the staff should now be worried that unless they actually HELP customers they will also be surplus to requirement ! ... think about it.
since when was the livebox the same as the BT router?
Since it's made by the same company as the livebox, to their basic design and functions ethernet, wireless, bluetooth, a VOIP line, can alter an ethernet port to be deadicated for the TVIP service, upgradable firmware, etc. (though it may have had a couple of optional extras added on)
mmm? well thats a bit like saying Rolls Royce cars are made by the same people as the Mini lol
I think the main problem with the livebox is Orange dont know how to use it lol... in fact they dont know how to use anything to do with Broadband, if they did the thousands of people all over the country wouldnt be having problems with their network would they.
I recon if they got rid of the "French Connection" who supposedly provide their LLU equipment they may and i say "MAY" just manage to get a service to their customers, but i cant see this happening in the near future... can anyone else?
