Funny that, 3 weeks ago I had a daily disconnection at specific times and I was in PPPoE... then I switched to PPPoA... perhaps I should switch back... I'll try that tonight, thanks!
... when it basically breaks your connection after 2 weeks??
LOL, seriously.
Anyway, another happy customer who now has several secret techniques in order to avoid NOT having internet... switching PPPoA back to PPPoE works miracles.
Thanks to everyone for their valuable input, it has helped me solve my problem, until next time of course, and taught me a few things about networking in the process.
I'll stick around to help out other people who have the same issue, of which I hope there are few.
