My LLU connection is now definitely rock 'ard at the 2.7 cap, even when it's a
recognised busy period. It's like I've got a comms cabinet all to myself.
The Orange server session has dropped a couple of times over the past two
or Three evenings, but the ADSL itself was always up and service returned
within 30 minutes. Now hoping, no doubt in vain, for an unsolicited hike above
2.7...
Lol, mate, Ah well another day, another dollar (£££) in the well called Orange!
curlydave.
P.S. That is actually s**t, have you bothered to complain and if so did you get any results?
I've rang Technical Services 3 times for about 40 minutes per call. I've tried to cancel under the distance selling EU law, was told I couldn't?!?!?! I've approached ISPA and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I've basically told the Orange Customer Service Email Team to f**** off. Kept on complaining to them. They kept telling me to call their premium number and I will not call it anymore.
These speeds are positively fast - last night I hit an all time low 16kbs down in Lincoln, finally got autorisation from the technical dept to waive cancellation fee at the weekend just trying to seek advice on the best local isp to go for.

I am meant to be on 8Mb but this evening
[Date 22/05/07 19:52:58]
Speed Down
195.80 Kbps ( 0.2 Mbps )
Speed Up
227.91 Kbps ( 0.2 Mbps )
does not look (nor feel!) good. just like dial up.

Finally got away from Orange yesterday, and got connected with Virgin.
What a difference! See my last post on page 15 of this thread, with a typical Orange speed test, then compare to this, with Virgin!
I was getting under 1 mbs for ages then my hubby rang Orange up and they tried saying it was a fault on the line etc...... well to cut it short he told them if it didn't improve he would chang, however for a couple of weeks i was running at 4mbs but oh dear we are back to our old tricks again now running under 1mbs again.

We were contacted today by BBC Radio 5 Live's Wake Up To Money programme and will be on their show tomorrow morning between 5.30 and 6.00am talking about speed... Or the lack of it!
My broadband is very slow lower than a quarter of a meg I'm using the unlimited package given by Orange, i cant get it any faster than 17kbps. I look on my configure live box and this is what it shows me-
Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 5312 448
Looking at that it should be at least a meg, its not just the computer ether, i have a ps3 and the broadband is even slower on that, any help or advise would be much appreciated. thank you.
