I have looked at the Orange site and it is not clear if the Livebox comes with a wireless adaptor or not. Or do I need to buy one at sign up?
Also how exactly would you set it up with 1 PC? I was wanting to use a single PC in different rooms at different times. Does the livebox plug into the phone and a 'master' PC or is it just plugged into the phone and then I can move my PC around the house? The Orange site says my PC needs an ethernet connection. Why is this? I thought the adaptors were USB?
your pc needs an eithernet connection if you want to make a wired connection to the livebox
you always used to get an adaptor with the livebox although I agree the new Orange site now seems very thin on details
I'd suggest you phone them up for an answer
edit:
I just found this:
"What do I need to get wireless?
You need a computer with Windows 98 or later, a CD-Rom drive and an Ethernet port. If you haven't got a wireless-enabled computer, you'll need a wireless adaptor. You can buy one for £34.99 from our accessories shop or when you join."
It would appear Orange have gone all cheapskates and do not provide an adaptor witht he Livebox any more! No doubt they will claim alot of people (especially laptops) already have adaptors.
On the other hand the provided adaptors were rubbish anyway. I suggest you look on ebay for a belkin 54g usb adaptor with stand. That got me reliable wireless for £14
They changed it so adapters were extra over a month ago. The adapters you get from them now are much better, pen type which are bendy and twisty and they come with a dock so you can extend them to a better position on a desktop pc.

I went for a cheap and cheerful Belkin G 54mbps from my local Staples for £14.99. Their software is a bit ropey but I have switched it off to let Windows Zero Configuration look after the connection which seems to be working OK and get Excellent reception up to 10m from the Livebox.
Most b type will work as well but are only recommend if it built into a PDA/mobile phone/PSP ect as it would slow down the network.
The fact that Orange have have not included a wireless adapter is going to make customers look like lier's has they would be recommending Orange because it is possible to connect a wireless connection out the box.
