Just wondered those who got told they could get dial-up whilst waiting for LLU to get fixed, do you know if its free?
Ive tried this one, although someone on this forum states they managed to arrange free dialup during broadband problems. When asked about complimentary "Free" anytime dialup account, I was told this was not in any circumstances possible..
Yeah I got told I could have a months free access whilst it is fixed. I've just been using the pay as you go number but I prob should clarify with them whether I should be using the anytime or pay-as-you-go.
This will mean yet another 0870 call...yippee!
And yes the dial up is crap. Takes 2-3 attempts to connect to each page. I hardly see how this qualifies as compensation.
I was told I could get dial up by India while things were being sorted out. They gave me an 0900 number to phone, which I am afraid I did not write down. When I asked them if I could use my Speedtouch modem they told me I did not need a modem for dial up!! High calibre - Orange Technical Support.
Any broadband account should also work on the pay as you go dialup. Though usually when they arrange free dialup (normally done through escalations) then it works like the anytime dialup.
