I managed to get my profile up to 3500kbps and so I was happy.
But then my livebox had a disconnection in the night probably a couple of times and my profile dropped back down to 3000kbps and the sync speed dropped to something like 3Mbps so I had no hope of re-attaining the 3500kbps profile.
Therefore, I disconnected the livebox to try to force a higher sync speed but the thing just would not resync. After leaving it for ages with a slow flashing @ light I thought I would use my Netgear router instead. It connected within seconds and hasn't disconnected since. My uptime is currently 147 hours and my profile is a stable 3500kbps. My downloads (during quiet times) are about 3300kbps so I am happy but I would rather use the livebox so I get the free phone calls.
So my question is, how reliable, in general, is the livebox and is mine likely to be faulty?
The slow flashing @ actually means it's sync'd and just needs to log in. Going into it's config pages should give more info on the problem by the status it shows.

It is now connecting but it disconnects a lot. My Netgear router plugged into the same socket had an uptime of two weeks whereas my livebox only lasts half a day before disconnecting.

I may have to stay with the Netgear and live without the phonecalls.

What is it that keeps disconnecting ?
Is it your broadband connection from the Livebox to the exchange or the wireless connection between the PC and Livebox ?
The reason I ask is that I have had several months trouble free, but since Saturday, the wireless connection between my Livebox and PC is intermittant.
I initially thought it was interferrence and changed the Livebox channel, but I continue to have the same problem. So at present I am slowly working through the channels one by one, but can not get it to connect for more than 10 minutes, that if I can find a wireless signal, even with the 2 devices a couple of feet apart.
If I get to the end of the channel list without a permanent solution, it would indicate a faulty Livebox I believe !
