This is unbelieveable. BT say that i can get 5.5 meg on their website, but wanadoo say that i can get 2. I rang them (In bloody India) and she couldn't half understand me and just kept saying i could get 2 meg. Im gonna ring BT and hear what they say. Anyone else got the two companies conflicting over speed?

its only 5.5mb if you get adsl max

right now wanadoo don't do adsl max, infact part of the problem is with BT
thier system for migrating customers over to adsl max is very poor see : http://www.theregister.co.uk/2...19/bt_max/

Please can you clarify
Whanadoo have this link from their homepage - 2nd box down on the left under "broadband advice" - "8 meg speed"

My exchange Prestwich is 8MB available now
but they have only put me on 1 MB speed despite previously having a solid 2MB

This is for the £27.99 a month service

your exchange has llu by wanadoo (NOT the same as BT adsl max)

therefore i'd get into contact with wanadoo and ask them why your line has not been switched...

Is there an email address I can use. Putting URL's in an email is far better than than trying to talk to someone!

The LLU upgrades are automatic but they're not immeidate as they can't physically upgrade everyone at once.
