Just subscribed to Orange with the livebox, I managed to make a wired connection using my laptop but I now want to connect my desktop wireless (I know its usually the other way round but I need it this way due to the location of my desktop) anyway wired connection setup fine with laptop, have been trying now for 2 nights to connect the desktop wireless with no success. I purchased the wireless adaptor from Orange (Speedtouch) I have the livebox connected to my line and the @ light is solid and the antenna light is flashing, I have installed the software from the disk provided but when it finally comes to trying to connect to the livebox it wont (error 910). When I open up the speedtouch monitor the live box shows in the site survey but I just cant connect to it, I have turned off my firewalls and antivirus so this shouldn't be the problem. I have also been onto support and they took me thro' a process in the monitor to no avail still no connection, they then suggested reinstalling the software and going thro the changes in the speedtouch monitor again, which I did and it still didn't work. The wireless is obviously working as the speedtouch monitor is picking it up, as you can appreciate this is really starting to get annoying and seems to be common practice looking at this forum. Any replies appreciated.

I take it that you are pressing button 1 on Livebox to put into pairing mode?
UNABLE TO CONNECT WITH WIRELESS:
I had to change security on Livebox to WEP only.
WEP key is case sensitive.
If security is an issue WPA is more secure, try WPA only.
You could also try Changing the channel. One recommended to try is channel 9.
Another issue is if there are 2 programmes on the computer that you are trying to connect trying to control the wireless. Turn of the programme that came with the wireless card and use XP to control the connection.

I recently had a very similar problem-last week in fact.I did manage to get it connected by disabling/enabling the wirless connection in the computer control panel. The connection never lasted and did not return after putting into hibernation or turning off PC.
I called Orange and they advised me to configure Speedtouch Adapter to WEP instead of the conflict of Livebox being WEP and adapter being WEP/WPA.Took 5 mins in all including call and it has been perfect ever since!! In security keytype is 104/128 bit and default is key 1.
This may not answer your problem fully but may help others as in the end it was a seemingly simple solution!

Yes I have pressed 1 on the livebox and put it into pairing mode with no joy, I take it to change the setting on the livebox my PC will need to be connected to the internet as when I was trying whilst offline it wouldn't connect.
