Forget singing Kumbayah, I'm singing "Gone to Sky" 6.5Mb dl and 0.6up for £10 pm. They seem to have me on "up to 8Mb" (my line's only supposed to support around 5.5Mb dl according to BT) and not "up to 16Mb" so they might only charge me £5pm for that service. Even at £10pm, it's a real bargain.
I'm really fed up with this; I just supposedly upgraded from a 2mb connection (which was actually fine most of the time) to the new unlimited 'up to 8mb' connection (which the BT line checker reckoned would work out at around 5.5 - 6.5mb).
I'm now getting 1.7mb down and 0.3mb up (the upload speed is actually a slight improvement).
Thankfully I kept the email that claimed 'we've made the changes' and upgraded me to the 8mb connection.
I'd switch to Sky's up to 16mb connection or Be's 24mb service if it was available where I live (cos they're also noteably cheaper too).
