If Orange come out as the worst (Which im sure they will) they might try and get Orange to sort themselves out
No AOL will come out the worst... But Orange is disasterous still.
Oh and, I filled in the survey and sent the link on to 2 poeple (both people who i suggested to get Freeserve when it was called that years ago)

But for people on Orange who have no connection or taking money out of their account when they shud have free BB etc im sure they have good reason for making Orange the worst ISP and if you read on many forums Orange is the worst ISP and wins hands down

What I find insulting from this piece of PR is that it is indeed barefaced lies with a smile on its face:
Quote:
However, we are aware some of our broadband customers have experienced some service and technical issues over the last few months. When these have occurred, we have worked to rectify any problems swiftly and effectively.
The reality here is that these "technical issues" are not only still occuring, but in fact there is NO evidence to show they have rectified these problems, let alone "Swiftly and effectively".

We pride ourselves on giving our customers a service they can rely on and, if things do go wrong, we work to put them right as fast as possible. In the event that a customer is not happy with our service and wishes to switch provider, we will ensure they can do so smoothly and with minimum disruption
The reality is that they do not make the switch to another provider as smoothly and with minimum disruption. With accounts of having MAC codes that supposedly have been issued to extending contracts to 12 months etc etc. This does not correlate with an easy, no hassle transition to another ISP.
Quote:
We acknowledge that some of our customers may have had to wait longer than normal to speak to a customer services representative over recent weeks. We have therefore brought in additional staff to support the existing teams in our contact centres. Orange already has a 6,000-strong customer services team, across mobile and broadband, and we're constantly reviewing our resources and working shifts to ensure staffing meets customer demand
The reality is this. If they put their resources/focus on actually addressing the problems, the demand for CS would drop proportionally. What this paragraph means is that they are going to bring more people in so that there more people to feed you excuses for your problems- you just won't have to wait too long to hear the excuses. Think of it as this if there was no problems, there would be no need for CS.

Our focus is on getting things right for our customers, and we shall continue to work on improving the levels of service we offer
The reality is they are certainly getting things right- right in the profit margin. And as for improving levels of service? How can this be when it is widely proved that the service of Orange has gone downhill since freeserve/wanadoo.
This PR piece is will certainly convince some upset Orange users that Orange care and are doing their best to rectify problems. Those users which are not prone to bullsh!t will see the reality.

thats just your own opinion, what you seem to forget is there is going to be alot of satisfied customers whos out there on Orange broadband, we really only seem to hear about the LLU problems on this forum
i agree with you, the statement made by Orange is just lies, they will never be able to rectify all the errors they have, those problems will live and die with Orange
This is a response to Futures_Dull, I am quoting myself from another thread on this forum:
Quote:
What some like to believe is that it's only the select few which come to this page to complain that Orange is 'doing them ovah', and are not representative of the majority. What these individuals don't want to acknowledge is this:
- There are some customers which are not really concerned what speeds they get as long as they have broadband in one form or another, they are unlikely to go out of their way to find out if they are getting what they are paying for, and don't really kick up a fuss (either they got way too much money to burn, or quite frankly don't have the time or inclination to make costly phone calls/queries, or may be very light bb users).
- There is another type of customers that will call up Orange, and ask "Can't I get higher speeds?", Orange will say "No, you have the fastest speed your line can handle", and this type of customer will accept this excuse and resign the fact that nothing else can be done- puts up and shuts up.
- Now we come to the group of customers that Orange must really hate, because these are the type of customers namely you and I, who post on forums such as this and/or call their customer support help lines numerous times- to figure out why we are not getting the service we expect. We are the types that expose Orange for the p!ss poor service they provide, and informed others that Orange is not as good as you think.
So when theres a few number of posts i.e. 20/30 stating problems with poor LLU speeds, then this is actually representative of a large proportion of users and not just a 'select few'. I'll tell you now that the majority of customers will fall in the first two examples of types of customer- this isn't a nation of complainers afterall. So therefore the complaints brought up here aren't effecting a few people, but a large number.
My money is on the majority of LLU users having under-performing speeds....Shame, shame , shame on Orange....***kers
I've completed the survey......(umm can you say "Very Unsatisfied")
don't you find it annoying that if Orange Broadband "did" everything that Orange says it should, it would probably be the best out there. I mean if Orange sorted all the problems and got on top of it.
If you compare all the deals, (on paper), they are clearly winners.....
Such a shame really that they suck so so sooooo Much!!!
I know that the rest of them have their own horror stories from their customers but I have to say that AOL, NTL, Tiscali, BT, etc. - none take the biscuit like Orange.
