We have a Livebox wired to a desktop and wireless to a laptop. Both computers are running Media Center. Last Wednesday, the desktop lost the internet connection. Customer Service tried a few things and decided that some settings on the desktop had changed. (How, I don't know!). Customer Service led me through and re-established the connection after about 20 minutes. I then noticed that the "Liveprinter" was now enabled on the desktop although I understand that Orange are not ready with this facility.
Three days later, when Madame switches on the laptop (first time for over a week)........no internet connection. We phoned Customer Service and after explaining the above history, the Service guy said that they do not support wireless connected computers running Media Center!!???.....but there is support if the machine is wireless and running XP SP2!
Is this correct? Perhaps I've missed something obvious or is it tucked away in the small print? Obviously from the Wednesday assistance they do support wired Media Center.
The list of things Orange DONT support is miles long !!! ask them exactly what they DO support, get them to put it in writing, they just seem to use this "excuse" when they dont have a clue how to fix problems...
So much for their so called Technical Support.... hahaha they are a joke !!
A 3 year old could solve problems before Orange staff ... i had a LOT of expense phoning them sometimes 2 and 3 times a day and getting absolutely NOWHERE ! so be warned... they will fob you off with excuse after excuse... better to cancel AND GET RID OF SUCH AN AMATEUR APPROACH TO PROBLEM SOLVING.
Strange i have xp media and also a vista upgrade disc here from compaq which i flatly refuse to use my wireless (although a pain at first) works fine now
