After having similar problems recently I spoke to a guy called Peter Sykes in the Escalations Dept who seemed more helpful than the rest. Ask for ext 2175. Hope you get it sorted quickly.
Imagine my joy on Saturday when I woke up to a solid @ light on the livebox- that only lasted 2 hours They now say that my user name is not being identified by the server.
It does make u wonder who configures their network its a mess, and is left to the customers to work out that changing to PPPoE temporarily resolves it.
