Thanks for the suggestion, did some googling and used DrTCP to change my RWin settings for the wireless card. Wireless PC is now running at max speed.

Thanks for the reply, was not proposing using a wireless b card in a pc but was looking at wireless media streamers, the older ones use wireless b and are reasonably cheap on ebay.

Took a while and some complaints to get them to fix the problem but now get 6.1Mb/sec 95% of the time.
