Have just come off IRC with Be - apparently their routing to 0range is currently down - looks like this is a temporary annoyance than a long term issue. More if I get anything.

Do you mean you were trying to send an email using your relative's BT account using Outlook or that you were using Outlook as normal with your Orange account details?
You could set up a further account which you run after downloading jan and paul - call it member@accountname.freeserve... or simply accountname.freeserve.... when you access it it will pick up all the ...
