I ran a speedtest this morning, I'm back up to just over 3mb now, which I'm chuffed with - I don't expect any more than that, because I don't think I am close enoug ...

I took the front off the BT socket - it's the one the router and the telephone is plugged straight into - there was nothing behind the faceplate, I think it may be quite an old box, so I'm not surpris ...
It was a problem I'd encoutered before and subsequenty resolved when Orange Tech (in the UK) spoke directly to BT Wholesale and manually
reset the IP Profile to its maximum.
