Looks like the charge for the MAC code is an attempt to try and put off customers from changing provider, my guess is they've been rather busy in recent months with requests for MACs.

The mysite sites do have an advertising banner frame at the top of the browser window but if you have a domain I've read somewhere you can use a tick to disable it, that's almost certainly breaks Ora ...
What ever problems they were having with the service have certainly got a lot worse since Friday.
